We understand that buying something online without trying it on first can be difficult, especially a wetsuit that is designed to be tight.

Many of Buy Wake UK customers may be buying their first wetsuit and we also get a lot of wetsuits returned to us as they "don’t fit right". Because of this we have created a little fitting guide below for when you try your suit on. 

What size should I order? Due to the tight fit it can be hard to select the right size when shopping online and we all like to think we are still the Medium that we used to be. All wetsuit brands will have their own specific size measurements, and we have included these size charts below to give you the best chance of getting the right suit first time.

Wetsuits, particularly brand new ones, need to be tight to the body, but not so much that they restrict movement or pressing uncomfortably. 

When trying on a new wetsuit, there shouldn't be any pockets of air, key places to look are the small of the back, under the arms and the back of the knees. When the wetsuit is on the neoprene should have a slight shininess to it, where the body is stretching the fabric. It is this tightness that allows the wetsuit to properly keep the wearer warm. 

All brand new wetsuits will feel stiff and almost a little oppressive, particularly thicker suits (i.e. 5/3mm and 4/3mm) but after a few wears the neoprene will stretch in all the right places and the suit will feel almost custom made.

• 20% UK VAT will apply on all deliveries within the UK.
• 0% VAT will apply on goods Exported out of the UK warehouses.

We deem this fee necessary to cover the costs in processing wetsuit returns, with regards to checking, cleaning and restocking. At Buy Wake UK we pride ourselves on providing high quality products at a great price and this Returns Fee helps us to maintain those low prices.
